Welding problems

What's the recommended joint clearance?

The joint clearance is the distance between the faying surfaces or faces to be joined.

This clearance must be well defined in order the capillary action to perform, absolute requirement for the joint to be brazed

  • Recommended gap for joints with less than 25 mm long overlap using the following filler material

SOLDARGEN 100
ARGENTA SP - 2
ARGENTA SP - 5
ARGENTA SP - 6
ARGENTA SP - 15

0,03 - 0,12MM.

  • Recommended clearance for joint with more than 25 mm long overlap using the same alloys mentioned above; 0,17 - 0,38 mm.
  • Recommended clearance for joints regardless the overlap length using the following filler material;

Tertiary or Quaternary alloys with more than 25% silver content:

ARGENTA 30 FC
ARGENTA 34 FC
ARGENTA 40 FC
ARGENTA 45 FC
ARGENTA 50 FC
ARGENTA 56 FC

0,05 - 0,12mm.

ARGENTA 2560
ARGENTA 3060
ARGENTA 35-2S
ARGENTA 4060
ARGENTA 456
ARGENTA 506
