Basic steps for good brazing

STEP N° 3 SETTING OF THE PARTS

The clean parts, covered in flux, must be correctly positioned to be brazed.
Remember that the capillary action is possible when the separation between the faces is clearly defined.

  • The suggested clearance joints with an overlap below 25mm long is between 0.03 and 0.12mm, using the following filler metal supplied by ARGENTA

SOLDARGEN 100
ARGENTA SP - 2
ARGENTA SP - 5
ARGENTA SP - 6
ARGENTA SP - 15

0,03 - 0,12MM.

  • For these brazing filler metals the recommended separation for joints with an overlap more than 25mm long is 0.17 - 0.38mm.

  • The gap or clearance recommended for joints not considering the overlapping length is from 0.05 mm to 0.12 mm using the following filler metal with over 25% of silver content;
